1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how WirelessPlanHub LLC ("WirelessPlanHub", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information in connection with the website located at wirelessplanhub.com. WirelessPlanHub is an independent editorial and comparison service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cricket Wireless, AT&T Inc., or any other wireless carrier.

You can reach our privacy team at any of the following:

  • Email: privacy@wirelessplanhub.com (rights requests and privacy questions)  or  contact@wirelessplanhub.example (general inquiries)
  • Mail: WirelessPlanHub LLC, Attn: Privacy Officer, [mailing address placeholder — to be completed by the operator prior to public launch], United States
  • Web form: /contact.html

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies only to wirelessplanhub.com and its subpages. It does not apply to third-party websites you may reach through outbound or affiliate links (including the websites of Cricket Wireless, AT&T, or any other carrier). Each linked site is operated independently and has its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

3. Categories of personal information we collect

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, we collect the following categories of personal information. We collect only what is described here.

a. Identifiers (via our hosting provider only)

Our hosting provider automatically records standard server access logs for each request to our site. Those logs typically include your IP address, request timestamp, requested URL, HTTP referrer, and user-agent string. We do not use these logs for analytics, profiling, or advertising; they exist for hosting reliability and security (for example, to identify abusive traffic).

b. User-provided input to on-page tools

Our Savings Calculator and Coverage Checker on the homepage accept the following inputs from you:

  • ZIP code (Coverage Checker)
  • Current carrier selection (Savings Calculator)
  • Current monthly cost in US dollars (Savings Calculator)
  • Number of phone lines, 1 through 5 (Savings Calculator)
Important: The Savings Calculator and Coverage Checker on our homepage compute results entirely in your browser. Your ZIP code, monthly cost, carrier selection, and line count are never sent to our servers.

c. Contact form submissions

If you use the demonstration contact form at /contact.html, the form stores your submission (name, email, subject, message, and timestamp) in your own browser's localStorage. It is not transmitted to us. The form provides a plain mailto: link for messages you actually want us to receive.

d. Browser preferences

The Do Not Sell / Share opt-out control at /do-not-sell.html writes a boolean value under the localStorage key wph_dnsmpi_optout so the toggle remembers your choice on subsequent visits from the same browser. This is a functional preference, not a tracker; it stays on your device.

We do not collect: precise geolocation, government IDs, biometric information, financial account numbers, contents of your communications with other parties, health information, or any of the "sensitive personal information" categories defined by the CPRA.

4. Sources of information

  • Directly from you: when you type into a form, use an on-page calculator, or send us email.
  • Automatically from your device: the standard HTTP request metadata described in Section 3(a), recorded by our hosting provider.

We do not buy or receive personal information about you from data brokers, advertising networks, or social media platforms.

5. Business and commercial purposes

We use the limited information described in Section 3 for the following purposes only:

  • Operating the site: serving pages, maintaining uptime, diagnosing errors.
  • Security: detecting abuse of our servers, rate-limiting, and blocking malicious traffic.
  • Affiliate attribution: when you click an outbound affiliate link (for example, to Cricket Wireless), the destination site may recognize the referral came from WirelessPlanHub through the link itself. We do not attach any identifier for you to that link.
  • Legal compliance: responding to lawful requests and enforcing our Terms of Service.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or training machine-learning models.

6. Third parties

a. Affiliate partner (Cricket Wireless / AT&T)

When you click an outbound affiliate link on our site, your browser is directed to the partner's website. From that moment, you are on the partner's site and subject to the partner's privacy policy. The partner may set its own cookies and collect its own information about your session on their pages. We receive only aggregate, non-identifying attribution reports from the affiliate program (for example, "N clicks on link X converted"). We do not receive your name, email, IP address, or other identifiers from the partner.

Third-party redirect disclosure: The Coverage Checker opens AT&T's public coverage map in a new browser tab. We do not pre-fill your ZIP on AT&T's site.

b. Hosting provider

The site is served by a commercial hosting provider (identity to be disclosed here by the operator prior to public launch) that maintains standard access logs as described in Section 3(a). The hosting provider processes this data on our behalf as a service provider under the CCPA.

c. Analytics and advertising vendors

None. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, session-replay tools, heat-map tools, A/B-testing platforms, or any similar service. If we ever add any of them, we will update this policy and add a consent banner before the tracker loads for visitors in jurisdictions that require it.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

WirelessPlanHub does not set any cookies on your device. We may set a single strictly-functional first-party cookie or localStorage entry only if you interact with a preference control (for example, dismissing a notification banner or saving the Do Not Sell / Share opt-out described in Section 3(d)). These entries store a small flag on your device and are not transmitted to third parties.

Third-party sites you reach by clicking outbound links from WirelessPlanHub will set their own cookies according to their own policies. We have no control over those cookies.

8. Sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising

WirelessPlanHub does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), or the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA).

Because we do not attach any user identifier to outbound affiliate links, affiliate click-throughs are not classified as a "sale" or "share" under those laws. The click itself is initiated by you, and the destination site independently observes the standard HTTP referrer.

We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months and have no plans to do so.

9. Data retention

  • Hosting provider access logs: retained for approximately 30 days, then deleted on a rolling basis by the hosting provider.
  • Calculator and form inputs: not stored on our servers; retained only in your browser's memory (or, for the demonstration contact form, in your browser's localStorage under a key you can clear at any time through your browser settings).
  • Email correspondence you send us: retained for the period reasonably necessary to answer your question and any follow-up, and then deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

10. Your rights under US state privacy laws

Depending on the state you reside in, you may have some or all of the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California), VCDPA (Virginia), CPA (Colorado), CTDPA (Connecticut), and UCPA (Utah):

  • Right to know / right of access: confirm whether we process personal information about you and obtain a copy in a portable format.
  • Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to statutory exceptions.
  • Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale/share and targeted advertising: already honored by default because we do not engage in either.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to limit.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
  • Right to appeal: if we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our denial email; we will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law.

11. How to submit a rights request

To exercise any of the rights above, please email privacy@wirelessplanhub.com or use the form at /contact.html. Describe the specific right you are exercising and any details that help us locate the information (for example, the email address you used to contact us previously).

Identity verification. Because we hold very little information about our visitors, we verify requests by corresponding with the email address on record for the interaction in question. If you have not previously contacted us and we have no record of you, there may be nothing for us to act on; we will tell you so honestly.

We aim to acknowledge requests within 10 business days and to substantively respond within 45 days (extendable once by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice to you).

12. Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a rights request on your behalf. The agent must provide (a) a written, signed permission from you authorizing the request, and (b) sufficient information for us to verify your identity through the process in Section 11. We may contact you directly to confirm the authorization. Registered agents holding a valid California Secretary of State registration should include their registration number.

13. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser-level signal recognized by California, Colorado, and Connecticut as a valid opt-out preference signal. WirelessPlanHub honors GPC signals automatically. In practice this is a no-op on our site because we do not sell, share, or use personal information for targeted advertising in the first place.

For purposes of California Business & Professions Code § 22575(b)(5) (the "Do Not Track" disclosure required by CalOPPA): we honor "Do Not Track" and GPC signals by design because we deploy no cross-site tracking technologies of any kind.

14. Children's privacy

WirelessPlanHub is a general-audience site directed at adults comparing wireless service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact privacy@wirelessplanhub.com and we will delete it promptly.

15. International transfers

WirelessPlanHub is operated in the United States and is intended for United States residents comparing US wireless carriers. We do not intentionally offer services to individuals outside the United States and do not transfer personal information internationally. If you access the site from outside the United States, please be aware that your request will be handled by servers located in the United States.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, applicable law, or the services offered on the site. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" and "Last updated" fields at the top of this page and, for material changes, post a prominent notice on our homepage for at least 30 days. Your continued use of the site after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
